During the Thanksgiving season of 2021, I crafted a picture as a heartfelt gift for my mother's birthday. This image not only encapsulates her beauty, grace, resilience, her role as a devoted mother but also reveals her son —me— receiving love and inspiration from her. She love it.
Now, I interview single mothers, and make artworks for them. These artworks not only capture themselves, but also illustrate their stories, love and their unique message of Create With Limits and help them empower the world.
HERO
GRAPHIC NOVEL
It was during one of the worst times of my life, with food poisoning, fever, no money to eat, and no one but my mom willing to help me, that I manifested the credo of Create With Limits and what a real hero is.
My mom is a real hero to me, there are no superpowers in reality, but there can be real heroes. What is a real hero? Can one still be a hero in the face of constraint and limits?
This is the question I'm answering in this 120-page Graphic Novel.
OUR MOVEMENT
The "Lucid Dream" charity digital art exhibition took place from October 21st to November 2023, marking the debut event for Create With Limits!
Aiming to draw attention to "single-parent families" and helping children in special circumstances grow up happily and confidently, all the proceeds from this exhibition were donated to the children at the "Shaanxi AiJiaBei Social Care Promotion Center."
One mother shared her daughter's reaction: "This art is fantastic, and after knowing the explanations, I was so moved. I think Mom is the greatest person in the world!" She then hugged me tightly with tears in her eyes!
ABOUT US
Having walked alongside my mother through her trials and triumphs as a single mother, I deeply empathize with her inner pain and material struggles. I knew my mom had many limitations, yet she became my hero. She showed me that we can create what we lack and that those who face limitations possess the boundless potential for creation - to Create With Limits. This is a profound message that I am eager to share to the world!
